7 Emergency & disaster management

EPM Rehab maintains an Emergency & Disaster Management Plan covering medical emergencies, fire, natural disaster, extreme weather, security incidents, and business continuity. In the event of an emergency or service disruption:

  • You (or your nominated emergency contact) will be notified as soon as practicable, by phone call or SMS in the first instance, with email as a secondary method.
  • Where Matthew is unable to deliver a scheduled session due to an emergency, the session will be rescheduled or, where clinically appropriate, offered via telehealth.
  • Where EPM Rehab is unable to deliver services for an extended period, your plan manager and support coordinator will be notified in writing, and you will be assisted to identify and transition to an alternative provider if required.
  • Participants are prioritised for continuity of supports based on their reliance on EPM Rehab's services and the impact on their health, safety and wellbeing if a session is disrupted.
  • The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission will be notified where a disruption constitutes a reportable incident or significant change to service delivery.

Full details of EPM Rehab's emergency preparation, response and recovery arrangements are set out in the Emergency & Disaster Management Plan, available on request.
